AnimO Animal Sanctuary takes in animals of all kinds, especially the unusual and difficult animals that would otherwise have no place to go, to give them the best life possible. Sometimes that means rehabilitation and release, sometimes it means rehabilitation and retraining, sometimes it means re-homing, and sometimes it simply means letting them be themselves in a safe space. The sanctuary is funded entirely by individual donations and I am so very grateful for the faith in our mission shown by our followers and donors. AnimO’s goal isn't to just rescue, but to educate, and I’ve done several video presentations for school groups. I want to teach more people, especially the next generation, about different animal species, the difference between domesticated and exotic/wild animals, and why exotics and wildlife don't make good pets. I started rescuing with dogs, to rehabilitate them from trauma or abuse. Recently I’ve started training dogs to be service dogs for therapy or emotional support. I also want to raise awareness of the mental health situation in Japan - the research is decades old and there aren’t a lot of resources for mental health issues. More people need to know about the amazing things service dogs can do! If you want to support the animals at AnimO, there are many easy ways to help! 1. Patreon Pledges start at just $3 a month (less than a regular cup of coffee) and help maintain a stable income for the sanctuary. https://www.patreon.com/MinasAnimalSanctuary 2. Amazon wishlist (Japan) Patreon alone doesn't cover all costs each month, so this list contains products I buy frequently. They also keep for a long time so there isn't such a thing as having too many. https://www.amazon.jp/hz/wishlist/ls/1NB6PNYVFWBI7?ref_=wl_share 3. One time donations via PayPal or bank transfer PayPal: [email protected] Bank transfers (for bookkeeping purposes, please inform me if you do this): MUFJ bank Asagaya branch 普通1199545 ホシノミーナ 4. Volunteer A volunteer program is in development. Right now I am generally unable to accommodate on-site visits, but there are remote opportunities such as translation, making phone calls, fundraising efforts, and fostering. 5. Hello WalkTail Community, We wanted to introduce you to some pup-friendly people over at Botanical Bones. They have a great product and also donate portions of their proceeds to animal shelters. Read up on them here and check out their website HERE. Don’t forget to check out their shop! Our Story Botanical Bones is a family business thoughtfully making superfood + adaptogenic dog treats in Asheville, NC. Our rescue dog, Carnaby, was an anxious puppy. When we brought him home from the shelter in April 2020, we wanted to help calm his nerves. As new dog owners, we decided to start by addressing our dog's struggles the same we would our own: in the kitchen. Mixing up healthy human-grade ingredients we had in our pantry, we soon found a winning combination of superfoods, adaptogens and peanut butter that Carnaby loved! He loved them so much we started giving them out to the neighborhood pups. Pretty soon we realized we needed to share these super natural treats with the world! FOOD IS MEDICINE We believe that all living creatures are at their best when consuming foods that nourish the mind, body and soul. Our dog treats are made in small batches with nutrient-dense clean ingredients that dogs love + superfoods and adaptogens to promote wellness. Human Grade Ingredients Dogs have 125 million sensory cells in their noses. This means that to dogs, scent is everything when it comes to food. Our treats are packed with ethically sourced, high quality ingredients and they smell like a peanut butter cookie, so they pass the sniff test every single time. Check out their social media here!
