Summer Cockatails

WalkTail Hour Community,
As summer approaches and memorial day activities are upon us, we thought it would be a fun time to share some summer cocktail recipes for your next WalkTailHour.
  Here are three refreshing cocktail recipes that are perfect for the summer season:

Watermelon Margarita:
Ingredients:


  • 2 cups fresh watermelon, cubed
  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • Ice cubes
  • Watermelon slices (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for garnish)

Instructions:
  1. In a blender, puree the watermelon until smooth.
  2. In a shaker, combine the watermelon puree, tequila, lime juice, and triple sec.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously.
  4. Rim the glasses with salt (optional) and fill them with ice.
  5. Strain the cocktail into the glasses and garnish with watermelon slices and lime wedges.
  6. Serve and enjoy!

 
 
Cucumber Cooler:
Ingredients:
  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 4 slices of cucumber
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • Club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Cucumber slices and mint sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions:
  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the cucumber slices and mint leaves.
  2. Add gin, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice cubes to the shaker.
  3. Shake well to combine the ingredients.
  4. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice cubes.
  5. Top it off with club soda.
  6. Garnish with cucumber slices and mint sprigs.
  7. Stir gently, and your refreshing Cucumber Cooler is ready to be enjoyed!

 
Pineapple Mojito:
Ingredients:
  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 4-6 fresh mint leaves
  • 4 pineapple chunks
  • Soda water
  • Ice cubes
  • Pineapple wedges and mint sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions:
  1. In a glass, muddle the pineapple chunks and mint leaves together.
  2. Add rum, lime juice, and simple syrup to the glass.
  3. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  4. Stir gently to mix the ingredients.
  5. Top it off with soda water.
  6. Garnish with pineapple wedges and mint sprigs.
  7. Give it a final gentle stir and savor the tropical flavors of the Pineapple Mojito!

Remember to drink responsibly and adjust the ingredient quantities according to your taste preferences. Enjoy your summer cocktails!
